"7Woe to the world because
of scandals.
For it must needs be that scandals come:
but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh
....
14 Even so it is not the will of your Father, who is in
heaven,
that one of these little ones should perish.
15
But if thy brother shall offend thee,
go, and rebuke him
between thee and him alone.
If he shall hear thee,
thou shalt gain thy brother.
16 And if he will not hear thee,
take with thee one or two more:
that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.
17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church.
And if he will not hear the church,
let him be to thee as the heathen and publican."
Matt. xvii, 7, 14-17.

.
Shown above is the cover of the French magazine Le

("The Trench Mortar")
showing a lithograph by Honoré Daumier called "Arrogant beetle-swarm of Jesuits."

Ann (Mrs. Edward) Sheridan
is the foundress and president
of the Georgetown Ignatian Society;
but she is also the foundress and Mother Abbess
(and, to date, sole member)
of the "Order of Divine Wrath"
[not yet in receipt of episcopal approval],
a special endeavor to foster greater appreciation,
particularly among some Jesuits,
of that much neglected Gift of the Holy Ghost,
"fear of the Lord."
Above is Ann Sheridan' Crest,
displaying her motto,
which translates as
"I have crozier,
I know how to impale"
