Edmund Khym in 1841 was married to Karolina Siegel
in the rectory of this church.

The church was built in the early 18th century
on the site of Vienna's the first church (4th century),
which had earlier been destroyed in a fire.


The oath made and signed by Edmund Khym
in 1841 at his wedding to Karolina Siegel,
promising to allow all children to be raised as Roman Catholics.

It states:
"Ich am Ende eigenhändig unterschriebeyner Bräutigam
erkläre und verspreche hiemit in Gegenwart zwey Zeugen,
die aus dieser meiner Ehe etwa entsprossenden Kinder beyderley Geschlechts
in der Christkatolischen Religion erziehen lassen zu wollen."
